If you are looking for a dreamy Tuscan venue in Italy for your wedding, Borgo di Castelvecchio is definitely your place! Set in the landscape of Val D’Orcia, facing Pienza and surrounded by the Brunello and Nobile vineyards, this location offers a pure tuscan experience. Lauren and Tom, with the precious help of Chiara from Weddings in Tuscany, exchanged vows on a scenic hillside in front of their closest friends and family and, after a pool side aperitivo, they made their way to the stunning outdoor reception, in the ancient courtyard under the shadow of a great helm. We loved so much the vibrant and colorful floral arrangements from Jardin Divers and the romantic atmosphere of that day!

FROM RUFFLED BLOG: “There is nothing more romantic then cruising through the rolling hills of Tuscany with your beau on your way to get your favorite gelato. Right? This beautiful wedding designed by Weddings in Tuscany has us weak in the knees with the bold orange and pink hues that perfectly compliment the sunny Italian demeanor. Set in an ancient Italian villa, this al fresco wedding is overflowing with the prettiest roses and hydrangeas, and suddenly we are packing our bags to go eat our weight in pasta and pizza in Tuscany. L&V Photography caught each vibrant detail that has us wishing for summer all over again!”

Alison + Greg - A chic al fresco wedding in pienza | Tuscany

Can there be anywhere more perfect for a place to marry than Tuscany? Alison and Greg chose an ancient monastery, Sant’Anna in Camprena, in the heart of Italy to tie the knot, and it did not disappoint!

Can there be anywhere more perfect for a place to marry than Tuscany? Alison and Greg chose an ancient monastery, Sant’Anna in Camprena, in the heart of Italy to tie the knot, and it did not disappoint! The location offered a perfect setting for their special day, from the getting ready to the reception, with its beautiful gardens, the cloister and the perfectly decorated rooms. Wedding day began with a yoga class in the olive groves for the bride and her friends, while some of the boys went on a Vespa tour of the countryside. For the ceremony Ali and Greg chose to hold their nuptials in the abbey church dedicated to Saint Anna, surrounded by family and friends, and then, the reception was held in the center of the monastery courtyard, between fruit trees and ancient walls creating the perfect romantic setting. The party was beyond beautiful, with two dramatic and perfectly decorated imperial tables, some great aperitivi and a stunning dinner setup, illuminated by strung bare bulbs. With the expert guidance of Alessia, they created a magical feel with a gorgeous pale blue, pink, yellow and green color palette for the florals.

From Alison: “We envisioned our wedding being a celebration of our love for each other, of course, and we wanted it to reflect who we are and what we appreciate about the life we have together. Some of our favorite perks of life include delicious food, incredible wine, dance-worthy music, excuses for celebrations, interesting culture, and memorable travel. What better place to combine those interests than an historic monastery in Italy! Some of our happiest memories have been made through our travels, I used to live in Italy, and our first trip together outside the US was to Italy... So the country had us smitten and was in our hearts from the start of the wedding planning process. Greg and I had been together for ten years prior to our wedding, so many of our family members and friends knew and loved each other beforehand; we wanted our wedding to be a time to show our appreciation to all of our loved ones who have supported us throughout the years. We wanted to create a wedding experience for our guests that made them feel like they were spoiled with a special and relaxing vacation, similar to special vacations Greg and I have enjoyed together, vacations filled with unique wines, long dinners, and loads of fun. “

Sofia + Martin - a romantic al fresco wedding in Tuscany

For their Italian destination wedding Sofia and Martin decided to gather family and friends from all over the world to Borgo Sant'Ambrogio, a true heaven on earth like venue nestled among the Tuscan hills of Pienza, near Siena.

The garden of the wine estate hosted both the ceremony and the reception, serving both as a couple session backdrop and as an incredible venue for all the guests and the newlyweds.

Together with their planner, Alessia B., and florists, they decided not to have too many decorations, as the location itself offered lots of stonework, terracotta pots and beautiful greenery that already perfectly decorated the place.

The flowers though, offered a chance to be bold: the earth tones of the venue are punctuated by bright accent colors like purple and burgundy, in the amazing stone pots during ceremony, and in the bouquets of the bride and bridesmaids.

The dinner was held in front of the ancient villa, with two imperial tables and string lights to create a sweet atmosphere, that screams La Dolce Vita charm.
