A luxury destination wedding at Villa Mangiacane

Callie and Alex celebrated their dream destination wedding with a luxurious two-day event at Villa Mangiacane, a historic estate nestled in the rolling hills of Chianti, just outside Florence. This iconic villa, featuring Palazzo Machiavelli, a 14th-century noble residence, and the refined Villa Mazzei, is renowned for its timeless charm, exclusive services, and breathtaking views—perfect for luxury weddings and private events.

The celebration began with a colorful welcome dinner in the villa’s garden, where guests dined at two imperial tables beautifully decorated with vibrant flowers. The menu included Tuscan appetizers, handmade pasta, and a sizzling barbecue, setting a warm and convivial tone.

On the wedding day, Callie and Alex shared a romantic first look in the elegant loggia before exchanging their vows during an intimate outdoor ceremony in the villa’s garden. Following the heartfelt ceremony, guests enjoyed a scenic aperitivo in another part of the estate’s park.

The evening continued with a lavish wedding dinner in front of the villa’s grand facade. White floral arrangements, glowing candles, and ornate candelabras created an atmosphere of pure elegance. After a champagne tower and first dance, Callie and Alex cut a traditional Tuscan millefoglie cake against the backdrop of spectacular fireworks. The night ended with an unforgettable dance party behind the villa, as guests celebrated love and luxury late into the night.

Romina + Philip - elegant castle wedding in Florence

We first met Romina and Phil last winter, for their engagement session in Florence, and instantly felt a connection with these two special souls! Living in Canada, but faithful to their Italian heritage, Romina and Philip decided that their vision for their special day should involve an Italian Castle: their choice was Vincigliata Castle, a straight-out-of-a-fairytale Medieval structure, not far from Florence, Tuscany.

Their day was perfectly planned and organized by Alessia B. Weddings, with amazing floral decorations by Il Giardino delle Fate Flowers. The getting ready took place in a uber stylish hotel in Florence city centre, with huge windows overlooking river Arno and Ponte Vecchio. For their religious ceremony, they chose one of the most stunning churches in town, San Filippo Neri, and then, the newlyweds escorted their guests to the reception venue, that was still a secret up to that point - and guess the surprise on their guests' faces when they arrived at such a magical spot in the heart of the Tuscan countryside!

The cocktail hour was held on the castle terrace and gardens, right before the most amazing al fresco dinner, in the castle inner court. With all the stonework, the ivy and the Medieval decor, not much needed to be added to the beautifully decorated u-shaped tables: just touches of gold, white linen and natural elements such as seasonal fruits and olive branches.

Leda + Peter - engagement

How we like our engagement sessions to be? in a word, intimate. We love to spend some time with our clients and to better understand their special bond.

Anyway, if they also happen to take place in one of the most beautiful venues of all Italy, chances are yours truly will be literally head over heels.

Leda and Peter got married in beautiful Vignamaggio estate, in the heart of Chianti, and both for their wedding and e-session they didn't want anything too fancy. They just wanted the focus to be completely on them and their love, and of course, on the beautiful background of vineyards, hills and amazing Tuscan light. Of course, we couldn't agree more! So, right before their rehearsal dinner, we took a stroll around the venue, to catch the best sunset light, as well as the best smiles and kisses. It was the perfect way to spend the late afternoon before their wedding, to get to know them better, and to collect beautiful memories together.
