Romina + Philip - elegant castle wedding in Florence
We first met Romina and Phil last winter, for their engagement session in Florence, and instantly felt a connection with these two special souls! Living in Canada, but faithful to their Italian heritage, Romina and Philip decided that their vision for their special day should involve an Italian Castle: their choice was Vincigliata Castle, a straight-out-of-a-fairytale Medieval structure, not far from Florence, Tuscany.

Their day was perfectly planned and organized by Alessia B. Weddings, with amazing floral decorations by Il Giardino delle Fate Flowers. The getting ready took place in a uber stylish hotel in Florence city centre, with huge windows overlooking river Arno and Ponte Vecchio. For their religious ceremony, they chose one of the most stunning churches in town, San Filippo Neri, and then, the newlyweds escorted their guests to the reception venue, that was still a secret up to that point - and guess the surprise on their guests' faces when they arrived at such a magical spot in the heart of the Tuscan countryside!
The cocktail hour was held on the castle terrace and gardens, right before the most amazing al fresco dinner, in the castle inner court. With all the stonework, the ivy and the Medieval decor, not much needed to be added to the beautifully decorated u-shaped tables: just touches of gold, white linen and natural elements such as seasonal fruits and olive branches.

Giulia + Marcello - engagement
Well, you know how much we love to work in our beloved hills. With Giulia and Marcello we decided not to go too far from home, in a quiet field where we could see the countryside from above. They simply made all the rest: they danced in a wheat field, laughed hard sitting on the ground, with their back against a pile of wood ready for winter time, they listened to a sweet tune, holding each other and looking in each other's eyes... and we were there, shooting and getting emotional, for a love that we had the privilege to see growing day by day.

Soon their wedding will be on the blog, and in the meantime, enjoy this summer afternoon with them
For their Italian destination wedding Sofia and Martin decided to gather family and friends from all over the world to Borgo Sant'Ambrogio, a true heaven on earth like venue nestled among the Tuscan hills of Pienza, near Siena.
The garden of the wine estate hosted both the ceremony and the reception, serving both as a couple session backdrop and as an incredible venue for all the guests and the newlyweds.

Together with their planner, Alessia B., and florists, they decided not to have too many decorations, as the location itself offered lots of stonework, terracotta pots and beautiful greenery that already perfectly decorated the place.
The flowers though, offered a chance to be bold: the earth tones of the venue are punctuated by bright accent colors like purple and burgundy, in the amazing stone pots during ceremony, and in the bouquets of the bride and bridesmaids.
The dinner was held in front of the ancient villa, with two imperial tables and string lights to create a sweet atmosphere, that screams La Dolce Vita charm.

Natalia + James - intimate wedding in Langhe
Did we already mention that we love Langhe? Since this amazing boho wedding, we think that they are one of the most beautiful, yet underrated places of our country. When Natalia and James contacted us for their wedding right in the heart of Langhe, we were so happy to have a chance to come back to those hills and vineyards! Since Natalia's parents left England to move there, and perfectly knew the place, they were good enough to find out one of the best Relais in the Asti region: the Locanda Sant'Uffizio, a true heaven-on-heart, where the whole wedding took place.

We definitely have a thing for intimate weddings like this one, where all the fuzz and stress is left outside, the guests are really people you can't wait to meet and hug on your wedding day and speeches are emotional and heartfelt.
Thank you to this sweet couple for having us there, and a special thanks to Giulia Formica Photography, for second shooting.

Spenser + Magnus - an intimate Lake Como wedding
When Spenser, a sweet American girl, met Magnus, a charming Swedish guy, it was love at first sight. Their life has always been on the move, but even if they now call Sweden home, they wanted to find somewhere really special to gather family and friends for their wedding day.
Villa Regina Teodolinda seemed the perfect place, with its breathtaking views over Lake Como, and its elegant and classy Italian atmosphere.

Since it was an intimate wedding (yay for intimate weddings!), they could easily accomodate all of their guests at the villa and the whole day took place right there, from the getting ready, to the lovely civil ceremony in the terrace overlooking the Lake, to the reception, in the great room, with a perfectly decorated imperial table and some amazing food served by the catering. A quick move of the tables, and the room was ready for the party and dancing, and oh boy, they danced all night long with the loveliest smiles on their faces!
Enjoy this simple yet effortlessly chic wedding!
